Sci-Fi to watch on screen in 2024

In previous years, when I created this compilation, it was easy to find so many lists of what was releasing in the year ahead. There were multiple trailers and descriptions of the movies and shows coming to the big screen and streaming services. This year, due to many reasons, including the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, it's a much harder feat. While I have found many projected movies and shows, many of them don't have a description or trailers. So, I've done my best. And I acknowledge that many of the shows and movies coming out are not included in this list.

SEQUELS, PREQUELS, AND SHARED WORLDS

• There are many movies and shows coming to the Marvel, DC, and Star Wars Universes, including Madame Web, Echo, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, Deadpool 3, and The Acolyte. 
• DUNE: Part 2 already has trailers and is receiving a lot of attention. See the first trailer below...
• The A Quiet Place franchise is receiving a prequel in the form of a limited series, A Quiet Place: Day One.
• Furiousa is a Mad Max origin story.
• Ghostbusters returns with Frozen Empire.
• There's another battle between monsters in Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.
• Long after the reign of Caesar, we get Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
• Set in the time period between Alien and Aliens comes Alien: Romulus.
• Another origin story is coming to us from the Transformers franchise as Transformers One.
• And the Amell cousins return with Code 8: Part II.

ORIGINAL TITLES

While it can be great to return to familiar worlds to get the stories of other characters and find out what happens before, after, and in between your favorite moments, it's also nice to be transported to new worlds. Here are some of the worlds I'm looking forward to visiting...
