Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting me today for Weekend Writing Warriors! I'm sharing another snippet from RET, the third book in my Kaddim Brothers series, which is now available! Snippet setup: Last weekend's snippet showed Ilam trying to clean up the blood from Ret's bloody nose, how drunk Ret was when he approached Ilam in the first place, and Ret's brother, Genj, coming out of his room and wondering what was going on. This weekend, I'm skipping ahead just a bit. Ilam assured Genj he could deal with Ret, and has managed to stop the flow of blood. Enjoy! After flopping onto the couch, Ret held the pack over his nose. “You’d better clean up since you’re the reason I’m in this mess in the first place.” What did I just say I was going to do? I paused in the middle of rolling my eyes, suddenly confused by his wording. “What do you mean ‘in the first place’?” “You punched me!” he shouted. “And if you hadn’t caused me to drink so much, there wouldn’t be as much blood.” Something was going on that I didn’t understand. How in the universe had I caused him to get drunk? I wasn’t there. As I wiped away at the mess, I tried to get more information. “Why did I make you drink?” **And a little more... “Because you’re you.” He sighed heavily, as if I was expected to know what he’d meant. “And since you punched me, can you get me something for my headache? My head is really pounding now.” He would likely need a lot of tabrue in the morning, but I got him a pain relief patch, putting the kit together again and in its place before giving the patch to Ret. He shook his head, not taking it from me. “You put it on. You caused the mess.” Tempted to smack him with it, I peeled the backing off the patch then stuck the pain relief to the back of Ret’s neck. Normally, I’d leave it with him to do it himself, but I don’t think I’d ever seen Ret this intoxicated. He worried me a little. RET Kaddim Brothers book three Ret Kaddim has the perfect life. He’s a space racer, the leader of the most popular team across the universe. Always planning, practicing, and racing, he has no time for a relationship, but finds plenty of willing partners who agree to his one-night-only rule. Because there is no way he wants to end up in a relationship and stuck with a family like his younger brothers. He’s having too much fun for that. Ilam Nairan always dreamed of becoming a space racer. And thanks to a chance encounter with a retired racer, he is now living that dream. Far away from the mated and pregnant omega life his parents wanted him to have, he loves everything about his life. It’s perfect. But one night can change everything. Especially when too much alcohol is involved. Can these two teammates survive the resulting media storm? What will it mean for their careers? The future of the team? And for them? Ret is a sweet with knotty heat mm non-shifter mpreg sci-fi romance featuring an alpha space racer and an omega space racer who both believe they’ll always be single, snarky but loveable teammates, lots of space racing, endearing family members, an adorable baby, and a guaranteed happily ever after. If you enjoy teammates realizing they have feelings for each other, and all the obstacles those bring, be sure to download Ret today! RET is now available! I'm sharing another snippet from RET, the third book in my Kaddim Brothers series, which is now available! Snippet setup: Last weekend's snippet showed Ilam playing a VR game when he punched someone. After taking the VR goggles off, he realized it was his team captain, Ret. And Ret's nose was bleeding pretty bad. I'm continuing this weekend from that spot. This is in Ilam's point of view. Enjoy! Coddleswap, I was in trouble. I dropped the goggles and raced toward the first aid kit, peeling off the gloves on the way. I grabbed a cold pack and some gauze, not bothering to close the kit before returning to Ret. Reaching for his hands, I tried to pull them away from his face, but it was a struggle. He twisted and turned, all wiggly, yet not letting me help him. “Stop. You punched me in the face. I’m not letting you near me again.” “Don’t be difficult.” I clutched his wrist and managed to pull one hand away. “What were you doing that close to me when I was playing the game? You know I can’t see you with the goggles on.” **And a little more... “I just wanted to say hello,” he whined, his breath reeking of alcohol. I rolled my eyes. He was very drunk. “Stop talking for a moment.” Ret finally dropped his hands, leaving me able to wipe his face while pinching the bridge of his nose to try and stop the torrent of blood. Genj came out of his room, his eyes wide. “What happened?” “Nothing. We’re good.” Even if the pools of red everywhere told a different story. Ret shook his head, spraying more blood across the room. “How does this look like nothing? You punched me!” RET Kaddim Brothers book three Ret Kaddim has the perfect life.
