Surprise! All the finishing touches for Once Upon a Library Wish came together last week, and I've been trying to get everything ready for the release date in October. If you haven't already seen the cover and blurb on my main page or the series page, check it out below! And be sure to pre-order a copy for yourself!

I don’t think this wish was meant for me… but that didn’t stop me from making one.

I need a new job. Due to budget cuts by the township, today is my last day working at the library. And I dread spending any time at the home I half own ever since my mom’s latest parasite of a boyfriend moved in.

As I’m shelving a paranormal romance novel, a white business card drops out of it. I pocket it for later, expecting it to be some kind of bookmark promoting the author.

At the end of the day, I reach into my pocket for the key to my bike lock when the card falls out. Instead of the author’s website or a QR code to scan, it tells me to make a wish. Why not? I would love to meet a hot dragon shifter like the one on the cover of the book the card came from. It wasn’t as if I was going to have any luck finding love in my small town.

That’s when everything changes.

Instead of biking home, I am standing on the edge of a field, watching a minotaur come charging toward me. He promises to introduce me to a dragon, but not before I agree to stay in their world. It seems like a dream, or perhaps a nightmare, but what if I finally found everything I’ve ever longed for?

Once Upon a Library Wish is the third story in the City Wishes & Enchanted Dreams series by USA Today bestselling author Jessica E. Subject. Once Upon a Library Wish is a MM MPreg shifter isekai fantasy romance that features a man looking for a place to belong, a reluctant alpha dragon shifter who longs for a mate and a family, the wizard who unknowingly brings them together, and many other new and old fantastical creatures from the Enchanted Forest. If you like fated mates, true love, males having babies, baby dragon shifters, and a guaranteed happy ever after, read Once Upon a Library Wish. While each book in the City Wishes & Enchanted Dreams series is set in the same world, they can be read as standalones.

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind in getting my upcoming release, ONCE UPON A DANCE CLUB WISH, ready. Between edits, cover art, and setting a release date, I've never had a book go through the process this fast. Not even when I self-publish. So, I've been sharing things at various stages in my newsletter, on social media, and here on my blog. Today's post is a catchup so everything here is up-to-date.

Although ONCE UPON A DANCE CLUB WISH officially releases September 27, 2024, the paperback version is already available for those who prefer a physical copy.

Have you seen the beautiful cover? It was designed by the amazing Fantasia Frog Designs who has created many of my covers over the years.

After spending the last year working on this story, I'm excited to share the cover for 4 UNITED with you. It's the first book in my Romance Tales from the Quadrants series, a spinoff series from the Kaddim Brothers series. While all of the Kaddim Brothers stories were MM MPreg Sci-Fi Romance, this series will have a much broader scope. The stories will all take place in the same universe, but those finding romance will vary. 4 UNITED is a MMMF Friends to Lovers Sci-Fi Romance. And here's the cover...

Why would I ever return to Ma’an?

My moema and I escaped from the planet star cycles ago, to avoid her being forced to remarry after my poepa’s passing. I grew up well far away from there, not worrying about being betrothed to some government official just to bear his children. And now I work for the Universal Space Racer Association, traveling all over the quadrants to decide whether new teams meet the qualifications to join.

I never expected to be on a shuttle, heading back to Ma’an. The new chairman of Ma’an and the USRA assured me I’ll be allowed to leave at the end of my evaluation of the planet, but I have my doubts. I can’t even get out of the assignment. Trust me, I’ve tried.

At least I’ll be able to see more of Deyal, my only family member still alive. Plus, my best friend is convinced the three childhood friends I left behind are my fated mates, two of which are on the team, and the other is my shagard. I’m not ready to commit to one person, let alone three. And polyamorous relationships were banned on the planet long before my birth. But the three of them have grown from the cute boys I remember into sexy strangers.

It’s too bad I have a rule to never sleep with the racers I’m inspecting.

4 United is the first book in Jessica E. Subject’s sweet and spicy Kaddim Brothers spinoff series, Romance Tales from the Quadrants. 4 United features Eta, who escaped Ma’an with her moema just as her hair was starting to turn pink, her three childhood friends who grew up to be very sexy men, an unexpected assignment, fated mates, true love, and other family and friends getting involved to make sure the four of them get their happy ever after. If you like MMMF relationships, second chances at love, friends to lovers, and fated mates, read 4 United today.

I don't have a release date for 4 UNITED yet, but I will share as soon as I do. The story has already gone through content edits, and I'm now waiting for the next round.
