Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik

I was looking for a sci-fi adventure romance to read, and that's what I got with Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik! This was a fun and exciting read with great characters, fabulous universe building, and the perfect amount of romantic tension! I wanted to keep reading, and was thinking about the story when I couldn't. I will definitely read more by Jessie Mihalik and can't wait to start the next book in this series!

Gaza Writes Back by Refaat Alareer

An important read! Sometimes we only hear certain points of view in the media, but it is important to hear and understand all points of view, especially those who are effected the most in colonization, occupation, wars, and genocide. This collection of stories shares what life is like for many Palestinians and the daily struggles, both physically and mentally, they deal with.

Jackal by Erin E. Adams

Jackal is a edge-of-your-seat thriller about a black girl who goes missing in the woods, and all the intense happenings that occur in the search for her. Erin E. Adams not only illustrates what it's like to be black in a small city, but also weaves an intricate plot that had me doubting and suspecting almost every character, including the narrator, Liz. I highly recommend this book, but you may want to stay away from the woods after reading it!
