Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting me today for Weekend Writing Warriors! I'm sharing another snippet from RET, the third book in my Kaddim Brothers series, which is now available! Snippet setup: Last weekend's snippet showed Ret interacting with his niece (a future racer), and his brother. It was a little break from the drama between Ret and Ilam. But, I must go back there, as they are the main characters in this story. If you've read either of the previous to stories in my Kaddim Brothers series, you know that key events happen at the 'family and friends' weekends. Well, RET is no different. I'm skipping ahead in chapter three. Ret has abandoned his family at the club, as he cannot relate to the things they talk about. Someone does try to pick him up, but because it's already a being he's been with, he declines. Enjoy! “Sorry, but I’ve got to return to my teammate. He’s ill, and I’ve left him on his own long enough.” Didn’t matter if Ilam wasn’t really sick. He was my excuse to get out of here. And I did owe him a drink from the last race. It didn’t matter where we had it. I rushed out of the club and into the humid and dark streets, not bothering to tell my family or teammates I was leaving. It’s not as if they kept track of me anyway. I simply needed to get to Ilam. Check on him anyway. What did he do when we were all out? That thought had never occurred to me before. Did he always play games? Or maybe sometimes he had someone over. Would I interrupt them? For some reason I wanted to. Chase the other being away because Ilam wasn’t supposed to be with anyone else. I paused on the dimly lit street. Where did that idea come from? Ilam could be with whomever he wanted. It’s not as if he was my mate or anyone else’s. RET Kaddim Brothers book three Ret Kaddim has the perfect life. He’s a space racer, the leader of the most popular team across the universe. Always planning, practicing, and racing, he has no time for a relationship, but finds plenty of willing partners who agree to his one-night-only rule. Because there is no way he wants to end up in a relationship and stuck with a family like his younger brothers. He’s having too much fun for that. Ilam Nairan always dreamed of becoming a space racer. And thanks to a chance encounter with a retired racer, he is now living that dream. Far away from the mated and pregnant omega life his parents wanted him to have, he loves everything about his life. It’s perfect. But one night can change everything. Especially when too much alcohol is involved. Can these two teammates survive the resulting media storm? What will it mean for their careers? The future of the team? And for them? Ret is a sweet with knotty heat mm non-shifter mpreg sci-fi romance featuring an alpha space racer and an omega space racer who both believe they’ll always be single, snarky but loveable teammates, lots of space racing, endearing family members, an adorable baby, and a guaranteed happily ever after. If you enjoy teammates realizing they have feelings for each other, and all the obstacles those bring, be sure to download Ret today! RET is now available! He's so convinced he doesn't care that way for Ilam, yet those thoughts keep popping up. I hope he figures it out soon--for both their sakes! Great snippet! 10/10/2022 06:02:46 pm
Thank you, Jenna! He's questioning what these thoughts mean, but it may take something huge for him to figure it out. 10/10/2022 06:06:58 pm
Ret is very scared! He thought he'd always be a bachelor, so he can't figure out why he has these feelings. Thanks, Sue! 10/10/2022 11:41:55 am
